Johannesburg is the economic center of the country, the capital of the province of Gauteng. Here we will make an overview and walking tour. Acquaintance with the city begins with an ascent to the highest building of the African continent – Carlton Centre, from which you will see the panorama of the city from a bird’s eye view. Further – a pedestrian walk through the historic center of the city, it was here that the first buildings of the city were built, it was here that the air was once saturated with opportunity during the “gold rush” period.
After that, we will pass through:
- The famous Mandela Bridge
- Past the University of Wits
- Various other attractions
- And finally the Constitutional Court of South Africa
A local guide will tell us the history of this place, visit a former prison for political prisoners during the apartheid regime. We will then finally visit the building of the main court of the country, the doors of which are always open to visitors.
